Escape velocity for the Moon gives 2.4 km/s — correct?

HenryWritesOP

Plugged in the Moon's mass and radius from Wikipedia and got about 2.38 km/s. Sanity check?

Yes, that's right — about 2.38 km/s. That's why lunar landers needed so much less fuel to leave the Moon than rockets need to leave Earth (11.2 km/s).

Did that, and added the Sun just for fun: about 618 km/s. Pluto is around 1.2 km/s.

Fun extension: add a dictionary of bodies and print a table for all of them. Jupiter is wild, ~60 km/s.
